Chamber Announces Endorsements
Malvern, PA (September 17, 2010) The Board of Directors of the Chester County Chamber of Business
& Industry has endorsed the candidates listed below for election in November. The process for selecting the candidates included interviews either in person or via telephone of 14 candidates. For the Chester County candidates that were not personally interviewed a combination of questionnaires from the candidates, voting records for incumbents and research of campaign websites were used to determine the final endorsements. Endorsed by the Chamber for their pro-business agenda were: Governor for Pennsylvania: Tom Corbett State Senate District 26: Ted Erikson State Senate District 44: John Rafferty State Senate District 36: Mike Brubaker State Senate District 38: Mike Folmer State House District 13: John Lawrence State House District 26: Tim Hennessey State House District 155: Curt Schroder State House District 156: Dan Truitt State House District 157: Warren Kampf State House District 158: Chris Ross State House District 160: Stephen Barrar State House District 167: Duane Milne State House District 168: Tom Killion These endorsements were based on the candidate’s positions in support of the Chamber’s positions on lawsuit reform, prevailing wage, combined reporting and tax reform in general, to name a few. In addition, we discussed ideas for job creation and concerns with the State budget. “It is our goal to elect business-friendly candidates to help make Pennsylvania a great place to conduct business. We believe the candidates we have endorsed are the right choice for Pennsylvania because they will work to advance an agenda that helps to grow our economy with the private sector leading the way” stated Chairman of the Board, Brian DiSabatino, EDiS Construction and Real Estate Services.
